Biblical Feasts of the Messiah
Why do we celebrate the Biblical feasts, the feasts of the Messiah?
As Messiah of Israel, it is clear that He should be an integrated part of every biblical holiday. These feasts are meant to teach people about God and the Messiah. Throughout the feasts we can see God’s prophetic plan of redemption through the Messiah and his faithfulness.
God calls the feasts “His appointed times”. There are seven Biblical feasts plus Hanukkah and Purim. Together they give a prophetic picture of God’s timetable and his redemption for the whole world.
The Messiah fulfilled the first four feasts perfectly during his first coming. The feasts of Passover, Unleavened Bread, First-Fruits and Shavuot have been fulfilled in the death and resurrection of Yeshua and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost. The last three feasts will be fulfilled when The Messiah returns, and they also point to who He is.
The feasts also bring us closer to understanding the Messiah, his character, his love and especcially His HEART.
